The workshop is organised by the Bremen NatureCultures Lab and is supported by ZenTraClim, a joint initiative of Stiftung Mercator, the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg and the University of Bremen.

Kim Fortun is Professor for Science and Technology Studies at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (USA). In her research and teaching she focuses on environmental problems, and on ways ethnographic and experimental methods can be used to address the complexities of the contemporary world. In 2001 Kim Fortun published her critically acclaimed book “Advocacy After Bhopal: Environmentalism, Disaster, New World Orders”.
